Founded in 2004 by the Friends of the Fort Worth Library, the Texas Literary Hall of Fame is a biennial event honoring authors whose body of work, fiction or non-fiction:
The names of the Texas Literary Hall of Fame honorees are featured on plaques on the west wall of the Fort Worth Central Library beneath the mural “Texas Tales” commissioned by the Friends of the Fort Worth Library and painted by Marjory Stark Buckley.
